Penn State Laureate to visit and exhibit paintings at Lehigh Valley campus

The sky’s ever-changing landscape is the focus of “Something About the Sky,” a series of cloud drawing and skyscape light paintings featuring movement drawings created by Lori Hepner, 2023-24 Penn State Laureate. Hepner’s work will be displayed in the Ronald K. DeLong Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley from Feb. 5 to April 27. The exhibit will kick off with a reception on Feb. 6.

Author and TV personality Carmen Rita Wong to visit Penn State Lehigh Valley

Carmen Rita Wong, former TV personality, co-creator and host of CNBC’s “On the Money,” and author and advice columnist for women’s magazines, will visit Penn State Lehigh Valley on Sept. 21 as part of the campus' Hispanic Heritage Month events. Free and open to the public, Wong will share stories from her memoir, "Why Didn't You Tell Me?" which focuses on family secrets and the lasting impact they can have on parents and children.

Penn State Laureate Velvet Brown will give a talk at Penn State Lehigh Valley Thursday, March 23. Brown is the 2022-23 Penn State Laureate and the David P. Stone Endowed Professor for the School of Music at Penn State University Park, and associate director of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the School of Music.
